North Lincolnshire Council's Library Service collects and processes your personal data for the purposes of operatin a public library service, and will process your personal data in accordance withe the UK General Data Protection Regulation/Data Protection Act 2018 and other relevant legistion, and will not disclose your eprsonal data to any other third party, unless allowed or required to do so under the UK General Data Protection Regulation/Data Protection Acti 2018.

Automated notifications

If you have supplied your email address or mobile phone number, we can send your ‘item available’ notifications directly to your inbox or mobile phone. ‘Item available’ email or text notifications are sent on the day your reserved item becomes available for collection from your designated library.

‘Pre-overdue’ email notifications are sent shortly before your loans are due for return, and ‘overdue’ notifications after your loans are due for return, to prompt renewal and return of items.

Your PIN

Your PIN number is required to access our online services or to access our public access computers, so please keep it safe and don't share it with anyone else..

If you don’t know your PIN, please take one form of identification (ID) into any North Lincolnshire library and ask staff to issue you with your PIN, or email us from the email address on your membership record. For data protection reasons, we are unable to tell you your PIN over the phone.

Our online services are provided by third party software suppliers and in order to operate those services we do share minimal information about your library account with them.
